If we’ve learnt anything from the past 12 months, it’s that plans and expectations can be severely disrupted. But we can’t help making them, can we? We like to look forward and to have hope. Despite the very serious situation with coronavirus infections this January, there is hope through the effectiveness of protective restrictions and the arrival of the vaccine.
Through COVID and after COVID, what are we learning and how are we planning to come out different in a positive way? The January 2021 series of Sunday messages is exploring this question, ultimately challenging us to open ourselves up to the opportunity to see things differently, relate differently and do church differently as we gradually emerge from this period of limitation. Life is always changing, however much we long for things to stay the same or to ‘go back to normal.’ The question is: are we changing for the better, and in line with what God is saying and doing?
